Chris Leben Returns At UFC 155 Against Karlos Vemola

Remember Chris Leben? The Crippler? The guy who packed more action (inside and outside the cage) into a seven-year UFC career than just about anyone? Well his latest suspension is up in November, and he’ll make his return to the octagon on December 29th at UFC 155 to face Karlos Vemola. UFC.com has it:

Fan favorite “The Crippler” will grace the Octagon again before 2013 as Chris Leben has verbally agreed to face powerful Brit-based brawler Karlos Vemola at UFC 155. Vemola has finished his opponents in all nine of his wins, with eight of those coming in the first round and five in the first minute.

Leben (22-8) will be entering the octagon for the 20th time in Vegas. He hasn’t competed since he was stopped by Mark Munoz in the first five-round non-title main event in UFC history at UFC 138. Unfortunately he popped for pain killers after the bout, and was suspended for a year.

Vemola (9-3) is coming off a loss to Francis Carmont in his last bout. He has competed in the UFC at heavyweight, light heavy, and middleweight. He’s 2-3 overall.

The bout is expected to take place on the preliminary card, but who knows these days. It could end up being the main event.
