Bloody Elbow will be bringing you streaming video of the Bellator 73 prelims live and free. Featuring six bouts, the prelims start at 6:20 p.m. ET/3:20 p.m. PT. You can check out the stream below the jump for the undercard. The main card starts at 8:00 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT live on MTV 2.
This card features two tournament finals – the light heavyweight match between Travis Wiuff and Attila Vegh and the bantamweight battle between Luis Nogueira and Marcos Galvao- at the very top. On the prelims is Cosmo Alexander, the renowned kickboxer who has turned to MMA and is making a serious go of it in the Bellator undercards.

Mike Wessel, split decision.
Mike Mucitelli, triangle submission, 3:01 of Round 1.
Marcos Galvao, KO victory, 4:20 of Round 2. Winner of Bantamweight Tournament and will fight Eduardo “Dudu” Dantas for the title later this year.
Attila Vegh, KO, 0:26 of Round 1. Winner of Light Heavyweight Tournament and will fight Christian M’Pumbu for the title later this year.

Ryan Martinez vs Mike Wessel (HW):
Round 1: Nice Ganesh tattoo on Ryan Martinez. My favorite Hindu god. Glove tap and they’re off. Quick flurry by Wessel and Martinez clinches. Wessel gets free and tries to flurry again. Martinez abandons his southpaw counter strategy and clinches again. Wessel free once more. Wessel flurrying while Martinez trying to pick his way carefully through with counters and Wessel clinches against the fence. Has an over and underhook, but no real action. Martinez circles out at the 3:40 mark. Wessel lands a decent right from a two punch combo. Wessel more patient now and Martinez working an occasional jab while evading the lumbering strikes of Wessel. Martinez lands a good outside leg kick and in some action from both, Martinez gets a bumrush to the ground, but Wessel stands back up. Clinch up against the fence and Wessel spins it to drop down for a takedown. Martinez tries a guillotine and Wessel goes down to his knees. Back up and they’re out in the open and squaring up once more. Martinez testing range and somehow accidentally knocks Wessel onto his back by just standing there. Martinez has side control and is looking to elbow or get the keylock. Wessel straight-arms out of the keylock. Martinez staying low and tight, fires the occasional elbow/hammerfist. Wessel trying to keep wrist control and mostly avoids damage. 10-9, Martinez.
Round 2: Another aggressive flurry from Wessel to open and both guys land, but clinch up against hte fence. Wessel tries a takedown, but Martinez gets out. Martinez tries a clinch off a lunging right and a leg trip, but no dice. Wessel spins the clinch and Martinez tries another leg trip. Wessel nearly grabs the fence to avoid it, but has to give in. Martinez in side control, but not being heavy. Wessel to turtle and then back to feet. Wessel tries a more varied series of attacks with a few leg kicks. The southpaw Martinez trying to entice Wessel in some more and jabs successfully. Martinez still trying to entice and goes for a head kick! He kinda lands it, but Wessel catches it by the head and dumps Martinez to the ground. Wessel on top of a turtled Martinez and hurts him with punches. martinez back to the feet and lands a big knee to the head. Martinez looks hurt and Wessel looks like he wants to be more composed. Martinez circling and appears to be trying to land jabs and straight lefts. Wessel mostly missing with his strikes and chasing his opponent around. Lotta feints from both. Flurry, Wessel lands more and they clinch up. Martinez gets an awkward leg trip to work and is in top of closed guard. Wessel working wrist control to avoid strikes, but it’s not working well. Very narrow 10-9 for Martinez.
Round 3: Wessel lands a big right hand after some squaring off and light blows from both. Leg kick lands for martinez after some pawing. Wessel tries a terrible leg kick and misses. Short trade and glancing blows for both. Wessel lands a few in a combination and Martinez circles away to reset. Leg kick lands for Martinez. Wessel tries a long range body kick and glances it off an elbow. Wessel clinches up and Martinez wriggles free. Martinez being patient and countering. Nice left cross on the chin for Martinez. Doesn’t faze Wessel much. Wessel catches a leg kick and clinches up. Wessel tries a very half-hearted leg trip, but no dice. Knee in the clinch for Wessel and another. And another. Martinez fires back with a punch, but switches to guarding against the knees. Wessel still clinching and Martinez spins the clinch around and lands a knee to the head before they break. Wessel lands a body punch as Martinez spins out and lands two or three punches in a lunging run. Martinez clinches and looks for a leg trip. Wessel trying to get double unders and gets smacked in the ear by Martinez with a right. They’re in the open again and Martinez lands a left. Wessel tries a clinch again and takes a few punches while delivering a knee and some punches of his own. Martinez clinches and drives Wessel back against the fence. 10-9, Wessel for a 29-28 Martinez card.
Jimmy Smith probably gave that a 29-28 to Wessel, but I disagree with him.
Mike Mucitelli vs Matt Van Buren (LHW)
Round 1: No glove tap, right hand lands for Mucietelli and get gets a quick trip takedown. Working from postured in guard and VB tries to get up, MM keeping his legs entangled and they spin over! MM on the bottom, trying to keep an active guard. VB firing punches, but getting frustrated. MM goes for a bump sweep and is stuffed. VB very tight on top of guard. MM trying up kicks and keeping a standing VB away from him. VB switches to body punches as MM upkicks. Armbar attempt by MM goes nowhere as VB drops back down to the knees. VB back to standing, MM upkicking and coving his head. VB being patient and MM digging little upkicks to the thigh and gets a double ankle pick sweep! VB scrambles up to his feet, but nearly gives up the back. MM gets a dragging single leg to the ground, but VB stands and MM gut wrenches him to the ground, but gives up position! A triangle by MM! The tap! Holy fuzzballs, that was amazing! That came out of nowhere!

Marcos Galvao vs Luis Nogueira (BW tournament final)
Well, Marcos just won the best entrance of the night. High, but controlled energy and Shook Ones Pt. II. That’s a very, very solid entrance right there. Luis Nogueira comes out with a Brazilian flag and even more energy too.
Round 1: Glove tap and they circle some, while measuring twitches. Gavlao combos up and gets a scoop double against the cage. LN scrambling and Galvao swings around for a knee to the face that is partially blocked. Clinched against the fence with over/unders for both and Galvao pressing forwards. Galvao moves out for a knee to the gut and a beat later, takes one himself. Galvao with a knee to bait LN and tries a leg trip and swing to the mat. Nearly gets it, but back up to the feet. Spinning in the clinch with over/unders for both. Knee for Galvao and one more spin. Galvao tries a leg trip again, but no luck. LN pressing MG against the fence and firing knees to the thigh. They trade and separate. More trading! This is technical, but fun. Accidental knee to the balls by MG to LN. Time out.
They resume and LN circles around looking for an opening. 3 minutes have gone by. LN and MG trade leg kicks. More hunting for openings and footwork displays from LN. MG in the center and gets a savage leg kick and a couple blocked punches. LN tries to fire back and lands a couple good oens. They trade and Galvao gets the better of it. LN clinches up and tries to hunt the back. Awesome lift and slam by LN, but Galvao scrambles up and out to the feet. Leg kicks traded. LN gets a nice punch in between the upraised hands of MG. Galvao being more patient and not coming forwards that much. LN lunges forwards and MG spins out. MG lands a few nice lefts in a trade and LN keeps coming, catches a kick and fires punches. LN tries a double, but is stuffed and they clinch. Round over. Wow. 10-9, Galvao.
Round 2: Hunting for opportunities from both. Galvao tries a lunging jab but misses the evading LN. Oh they trade some wild stuff and only a right hand from Galvao really lands hard. Back to the fast twitching. LN evading by stepping back most times and coming straight in most times. Galvao seems to like stepping to his left and landing something during trades. LN flurries, but is either blocked or misses completely. LN tries a superman punch and takes a couple slapping blows for his trouble. Oooh, thumping leg kick off a blocked punch for LN. Galvao takes a punch to deliver two medium-ish knees to the dome of LN. LN seems unaffected. Left pawing hook and a leg kick for Galvao. LN trying some body leads and lands a nice left counter hook as Galvao tries some more knees. Both trading and landing now and then. MG lands a sweet one two with a left jab adn a right straight. More punches! Big right hands landing hard on LN. A desperate clinch turns into a mount and punches! Galvao setting a mounted triangle and firing unanswered punches! Back given! Galvao punches and elbows LN for the referee stoppage! Some of those elbows looked really dubious, but the commentators are saying 12-6 elbows are legal AND that they were landing to the top of the head and not to the back of the head. I dunno… Marcos Galvao, KO victory, Round 2.
But I’m happy for Marcos Galvao. So is Jimmy, who says “We’re all Brazilians in the end.” Yep, I can get with that motto. Marcos is speaking English! And he says he’ll fight Dudu! Big news!
I love how Jimmy brings up the bad decisions Galvao has had to take due to the incompetent judges elsewhere. It’s a testament to Galvao that he’s stayed with Bellator and gotten this title shot. But… DUDU! LORO! THIS IS MADNESS! NOVA UNIAO MADNESS!
Travis Wiuff vs Attila Vegh (LHW tournament final)
Round 1: Vegh opening in southpaw and circling to the left as Wiuff follows hard. A little bit of light blows back and forth. Vegh then lands an unseen right hook after a left uppercut just right to Wiuff’s jaw and he collapses. Vegh follows up with more right hands from behind and prevents a recovery from happening. Referee Jason Herzog slides in at exactly the right time. Attila Vegh, KO, 26 seconds into Round 1.
