Recently, Bellator Fighting Championships announced their upcoming welterweight tournament and there were a few names surprisingly left off the list — namely former UFC/Strikeforce talent Paul Daley.

Fans of “Semtex” won’t have to wait too much longer to see Daley back in the Bellator cage as the promotion announced Tuesday that Daley (30-12-2) will return to action on Friday, November 2nd in Ontario, Canada, against the dreaded TBD.

Daley made his debut in July with a first round TKO of Rudy Bears and apparently is being held out of tournament action until Bellator moves to Spike in 2013.

Bantamweight Champion Eduardo Dantas will also fight on the show, but it wasn’t confirmed whether he will fight the winner of Friday’s Luis Nogueira vs. Marcos Galvao tournament final or a non-title “superfight”. The 23-year-old Dantas (14-2) was last seen submitting Zach Makovsky in April to win the 135-pound title, his seventh straight win.

Fellow welterweight Ryan Ford (18-4) was also announced for the card, but also with no opponent. The Canadian made his Bellator debut in May with a second round TKO of Luis Santos. A winner in five of his last six with 17 overall finishes, he is also expected for the first 2013 welterweight tourney.
