UFC president Dana White checked in Wednesday with his first video blog of UFC 150 fight week, solely focusing on this past Saturday’s UFC on Fox 4 card. If recent uploads are any indication, this is the only video we’ll get this week.
As has been the case recently, all of the footage is from backstage, mainly focusing on the post-fight medical checkup. A few highlights:
– DaMarques Johnson asking his cornermen, “Was that a good fight?” Mike Swick comes over and gives him praise while Johnson jokes his punches are why he can’t remember his name.
– Jamie Varner was upset about his broken hand, while Sean Shelby pumps him up about having a great fight.
– We see a frustrated Ryan Bader post-fight, who wasn’t sure what Lyoto Machida knocked him out with.
– We also get plenty of post-fight footage with Mauricio Rua and Brandon Vera. Both guys had a lot of respect for each other, especially Vera. As the doctor was checking out Vera’s senses, Dominick Cruz mimicked him and asked Vera, “Am I an a**hole or nice?” The UFC made a point to show everyone giving Vera praise backstage and White answering a question about whether he would get cut following the loss.
