On Tuesday, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones had his driver’s license suspended for six months and was fined $1000 for his May 19th suspicion of DWI arrest in Binghamton, NY, following an accident that saw him crash his vehicle into a utility pole.

The 24-year-old will also have to install ignition interlocks on all of his vehicles and complete a victim impact panel within the next 90 days. Interlocks work similar to a breathalyzer where the driver must breathe into a device that measures blood alcohol levels (BAL). If the BAL is above a specified limit, the car cannot be started.

Jones, who pleaded guilty at his May 29 arraignment, did not address the court. He also paid nearly $7000 to the utility company to replace the pole, which he hit with his 2012 Bentley in the early morning hours of the 19th.

Jones is set to defend his title on Saturday, September 1st, against Dan Henderson at UFC 151.
