Last night, we saw some of the best in Women’s MMA perform. Following the Zuffa buy out of the Strikeforce promotion, Shannon Knapp realized that the female MMA stars needed their own showcase. Knowing that fighting schedules would be incredibly limited Shannon Knapp decided to start an all WMMA promotion of her own.
Last night we saw the second event showcasing the top talent in women’s mixed martial arts. In the main event former Olympian Sarah McMann took the cage facing submission phenom Shayna Baszler. “The Queen of Spades” Baszler, had won 13 of her 14 wins by submission, but she’d never faced a grappler with McMann’s credential’s.
Throughout the night, Invicta FC delivered action. From corner stops to TKO’s to submissions, these ladies delivered in a pure illustration of effective aggresssion.
After the jump, full results and a great highlight video thanks to Bloody Elbow’s own Zombie Prophet.
