With good news (although not as good as they wanted) coming out of UFC 148’s pay-per-view buyrate, the UFC is getting a bit more good news as UFC on Fuel TV 4: Munoz vs. Weidman pulled in a solid rating. In fact, they did the second biggest number yet for a Fuel show.
UFC on Fuel TV 4 pulled in an average of 211,000 viewers over the course of its three-hour, six-bout telecast, according to industry sources.
It’s not a huge number, but it’s solid for the station it was on. And, more importantly, a good amount of people got to see Chris Weidman put on one of the most impressive performances in UFC history when he stopped Mark Munoz in the second round.
We’ll have to see how the growth continues for the Fuel shows, but the biggest thing will forever be getting the station on major carriers like Comcast.
