Marcos “Vina” Vinicius defeated Wagner “Galeto” Campos via TKO (strikes) at 1:07 of round three
Vina was down on the cards and his corner wanted him to come out blazing. He did just that, and it won him the fight. Marcos “Vina” Vinicius pulled off an improbable comeback victory and defeated Wagner “Galeto” Campos early in the third round of their UFC 147 bout by TKO. The finish came at 1:07 of the third round.
The first two rounds were all Galeto, who got takedowns and almost finished the fight in the first with an arm-triangle choke from mount. He inexplicably let go of it though, and it ended up costing him dearly. He controlled the second round as well, though he didn’t come close to finishing.
The third was all Vina though. He came out with a solid flying knee to the body that hurt Galeto, then completely unloaded on him against the fence, catching him with a ton of big punches. Referee Herb Dean mercifully stepped in and ended the bout even though Galeto was still on his feet, though he collapsed to the mat as soon as it was over.
