English striker Jason Young will look to build on his first UFC victory when he returns to his home country in September to face off with Robert Peralta at UFC on Fuel 5. The bout is expected to take place on the preliminart card. Young announced the fight via twitter earlier today:
Young (9-5) lost his first two bouts in the UFC to Dustin Poirier and Michihiro Omigawa, but rebounded with a decision win over Eric Wisely at UFC on Fuel 2 in April. Peralta (15-3, 1 NC) thought he had ran his win streak to three when he defeated Mackens Semerzier by TKO at UFC on Fox 1 last November, but an accidental headbutt led to the bout being declared a no-contest instead. He was scheduled to rematch Semerzier at UFC on FX 2 but was forced out with an injury.
The main event of the September 29th card sees Stefan Struve face off with top prospect Stipe Miocic.
