Juan Manuel Marquez, who was inseparable to Manny Pacquiao over the course of three extremely close fights, has spoken about the fight against Timothy Bradley.
Some of you think it was some sort of ridiculous Karma that has come to bite Pacquiao for winning those close decisions against Marquez, and some have even stated that JMM must be enjoying the outcome. Well, the Mexican legend disagrees. He scored the bout for Pacquiao in a wide margin, and he isn’t happy about the decision:
“I didn’t think the fight was that close. I think Pacquiao won by at least five points. … No it doesn’t make me happy that he lost that way but now he knows how I felt this past November.”

I can’t fault the proud Mexican for still believing he won against Pacquiao, as those were razor thin decisions where you can genuinely make a case for either fighter. I wish I can say the same for this bout, but it isn’t even comparable.

But look, I scored Pacquiao vs Marquez III for Marquez. I thought he won that fight. I did think there was an argument for a draw, maybe a very, very tight Pacquiao win.
This time I don’t see the arguments for Tim Bradley. I don’t think the fights really compare at all. Manny probably doesn’t know how Marquez felt, because Marquez got the short end, in my view, in a tremendously competitive fight where style preferences do come into play.
This wasn’t that. That wasn’t this. This was something else entirely. And no, there’s no make believe “karma” that makes this alright. It won’t be alright if Gabriel Campillo starts getting robbery wins, either.
