A-list movie star Charlize Theron was on the Conan O’Brien show on TBS the other night, doing the promotional and publicity rounds for Ridley Scott sci fi epic and Alien prequel ‘Prometheus‘. She may have also been plugging the ‘Brothers Grimm run through a Twilight filter’ movie adaptation, but the less said about that particular piece of celluloid the better.
A topic of conversation that came up during the interview was Theron’s apparent love of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. “I’m absolutely obsessed, yeah. Completely, completely and utterly obsessed.”, said Theron without hesitation. The 37 year old South African Oscar winner went on to humorously recount how she first got into watching the UFC and her appreciation for the great athletes that compete in this particular brand of Mixed Martial Arts, as well as questioning what it says about her to enjoy ‘watching sweaty hot men bleeding all over each other’.
Prometheus has been out in the UK for a few days now (author’s note: I watched it today, it was awesome) and will be hitting US theaters shortly. Video of Theron’s appearance on Conan, after the jump.
