Former UFC fighter and YouTube legend Kimbo Slice continued his undefeated run through the dregs of the heavyweight boxing landscape, knocking out Jesse Porter in just 36 seconds Saturday night in Oklahoma.
Slice (5-0) immediately went on the attack with some lefts and rights, dropping Porter with a right uppercut that he never recovered from. This was Slice’s first bout since his controversial knockout win over Brian Green in March, a fight many thought was fixed due to how it finished. (It didn’t help matters that Green admitted he wore ankle weights for the weigh-in.)
As you can see in the clip below, Porter (3-5) didn’t do anything offensively and coming into Saturday, he had shown a propensity to be knocked out quickly. He also hadn’t fought since October 2011. Following the finish, the reaction from those in attendance was mixed.
Slice turned to boxing after being cut from the UFC after his May 2010 loss to Matt Mitrione. He fought three times in 2011, running up a 3-0 record with two first round knockouts and a unanimous decision.
