Fuel TV’s Ariel Helwani jointly interviewed UFC Welterweights Josh Koscheck and Johny Hendricks in advance of their UFC on Fox 3 bout. Hendricks may or may not secure a title shot with a win, Koscheck needs a few more wins to get back in the hunt and may be boxed out as long as Georges St. Pierre remains the champ.

Hendricks says all the usual respectful stuff about expecting to face the best Koscheck ever despite Koscheck’s recent underwhelming split-decision win over Mike Pierce at UFC 143.

Koscheck however is in a bit of a bind. You can almost tell he’s aching to indulge in his usual trash talk but he has to give Hendricks a certain amount of credence since Hendricks is coming off a 12 second KO win over Jon Fitch, long-time #2 in the division and one of Koscheck’s best friends and training partners.

But that doesn’t mean he’ll go so far as to say he “respects” Hendricks’ abilities until he sees for himself what Hendricks can do against Koscheck in the Octagon.
