Strikeforce has been added a bunch of fights to their May 19th card in San Jose over the past few days, and two solid preliminary card bouts are now set to go. One is at light heavyweight, the other at lightweight. Virgil Swicker will meet Guto Inocente, and James Terry will face off with Billy Evangelista.

Swicker (10-2) hasn’t fought since last April, where he picked up a win over Brett Albee. His only other Strikeforce fight was a loss to Lavar Johnson at heavyweight. Inocente (5-0) will finally be making his debut in the promotion after pulling out of a scheduled fight with Lionel Lanham last year.

Terry and Evangelista are both longtime members of the promotion, each with nine fights under the Strikeforce banner. Terry (11-4) had crept into contention in a semi-thin SF lightweight division in 2011, but dropped a split decision to Noh-Shon Burrell in January. Evangelista (11-2) is currently on a two-fight losing streak, dropping decisions to Jorge Masvidal and K.J. Noons.

The card will be headlined by the Heavyweight Grand Prix Final bout between Josh Barnett and Daniel Cormier. In addition to that, Gilbert Melendez will defend his Strikeforce lightweight title against Josh Thomson. Tickets for May 19th event go on sale this week. The main card airs on Showtime, while the prelims will air on Showtime Extreme.
