Today is the first show of Super Fight League, a promotion from India being spearheaded by millionaire tycoon Raj Kundra, Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt, and MMA agent, Ken Pavia. The event has several fighters from India, along with UFC vet Xavier Foupa-Pokam, Jimmy Ambriz, and a headlining super-heavyweight bout between PRIDE veterans Bob Sapp and James Thompson.
Yes, James Thompson will take on Bob “The Tap” Sapp, where both guys have a combined 3 wins in their past 20 fights.
If that wasn’t enough for you, Phil Baroni will be doing color-commentary for the event that is planning to bring more spectacle than sport. They claim to have a very “Bollywood” feel and will be having several musical acts, reportedly from artists such as Jennifer Lopez, and LMFAO before the actual fights.
