Mike Easton made his UFC debut at UFC Live: Cruz vs Johnson late in 2011 in his hometown of Washington, D.C. Easton impressed the crowd with a second round stoppage over Byron Bloodworth. The arena was clearly behind the hometown hero. He followed up that victory with another, this time over Jared Papazian at UFC on FX: Guillard vs Miller. It was a hard fought decision that showcased Easton’s ability to dig deep and find a way to win. His opponent in Virginia is no stranger to the octagon.
Yves Jabouin followed many of his WEC peers to the UFC when the companies merged in 2011. Unsuccessful in his first fight, Jabouin made the decision to drop to Bantamweight in his next fight. Facing Ian Loveland, Jabouin earned a split decision in Rio de Janeiro at UFC 134. He continued his winning streak with a split decision win over Waled Watson in a fight that was back and forth for the full 15 minutes.
Both fighters are on two fight win streaks in the UFC and a win at UFC on Fuel 3 would elevate either fighter to the top 15 of the division. With Easton being a D.C. native, expect the crowd to heavily favor the team Lloyd Irvin member.
