UFC President Dana White got to video blog action early this week, releasing his first UFC On Fox 2 video blog on Monday, which focused on all the backstage happenings from last Friday’s UFC On FX premiere.

Some highlights:

  • For the medical students in our readership, you’ll get plenty of the post-fight doctor checkups. Eye scans, hand checks, verbal questions…they’re all here!
  • A shot of Jorge Rivera and his goodbye in the cage with the Nashville crowd chanting “Jor-Hey!”
  • Before his walkout, Mike Easton is yelling at Jared Papazian somewhere in front of him. To say he’s an intense dude is an understatement.
  • An ‘only in the UFC’ moment when a bloodied Christian Morecraft and Pat Barry shared a moment as both are being checked out.
  • Papazian’s coach admonished him for running around too much in the Easton fight and reminding him about leaving it all in the cage. It was a refreshing moment where a coach was being brutally honest minutes after a fight instead of trying to make his charge feel good for the sake of an ego.
  • Remember when White said he was waiting for Guillard to take things more seriously? We get a shot of Guillard posing for a picture backstage with an arena worker before his fight. I worked for a pro hockey team for seven years and arena workers were always told to never bother the athletes/entertainers and especially when it was showtime, but apparently things are different in Nashville.
  • Post-fight, Guillard explained how he got caught in Miller’s rear naked choke.
  • Jon Jones gave his predictions for Saturday’s Rashad Evans-Phil Davis tilt, adding “Rashad’s chin sucks.”

See the 10-minute clip after the jump.
