A few weeks ago word spread that UFC middleweight Dan Miller, a man that has been through many trials and tribulations when it has come to his children, was opening a foundation to try and raise money for a kidney transplant for his son Daniel James Miller. And the MMA community stepped up. Fans made donations. T-shirts were sold with the proceeds going to the foundation. Even Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta stepped up, making big donations to the foundation and making sure that they had the best healthcare possible. For all of the negativity that surrounds this sport at times, it’s amazing to see people do the right thing when it’s really needed.
On December 3rd, the foundation held a fundraiser to raise funds for Daniel James, and they released a couple of videos from it. They cover some stuff about PKD (Polycystic Kidney Diesase) and show interviews with a bunch of AMA and UFC guys including Jim Miller and Chris Weidman, and family members of Miller.
