Tonight at the Palm’s casino in Las Vegas Nevada, Michael Bisping and Jason Miller finally met to bring the fourteenth season of the Ultimate Fighter to a close. The opposing coaches had made verbal jabs back and forth throughout the entire season and tonight they got to settle their differences. ‘Mayhem’ walked out trying to pump up the crowd for the middleweight affair. BIsping’s usual walkout music of ‘Song 2’ by Blur was drowned with boos from an irate crowd. ESPN has released the highlights of the fight.
Miller was able to get the fight to the ground in the first round but failed to do much damage while holding the dominant position. Midway through the second Miller’s pace slowed down and Bisping’s far more technical striking became the difference-maker. In the third and final round he battered a gassed Miller with knees and elbows on the ground forcing referee Steve Mazzigatti to bring the fight to a halt.
