Michael McDonald knocked out Alex Soto at 56 seconds in the first round of their fight at UFC 139. Alex Soto was making his UFC debut while it was McDonald’s third straight win in the octagon.
The fight was over almost as soon as it started. Alex Soto constantly pushed forward with punches but didn’t land any as McDonald kept stepping aside of the attack. A lazy leg kick was countered with a straight punch that put Soto on his back. McDonald was unable to finish the fight on the initial attack but when Soto regained his feet, McDonald put him away with a flurry of punches that separated Soto from consciousness.
Michael McDonald picked up his third UFC win before he is legally able to drink with this highlight reel knockout. Soto was making his debut as a young prospect. It was the first loss of his career.
