As I have said time and again, this job has granted me some amazing opportunities in the MMA industry. When my friends at Ranger Up announced they were holding a contest and fund raiser for Soldiers’ Angels and Hire Heroes, I decided to enlist the site’s editor Brent Brookhouse to give back by participating in the “Stache Bash“! I also handed over creative control to Nick from Ranger Up to write our team bio.
Ranger Up are the guys behind the hilarious videos that made Michael Bisping so mad that he spit in Jorge Rivera’s coach’s face. They’re also veterans and have done a ton to help out the military community in the United States. As I wrote about in my experiences at the Army Combative’s Tournament, these guys really do care about their brothers in arms.
So what’s “Stache Bash”, right? Stache Bash is a fundraising effort for Soldiers’ Angels and Hire Heros. Both are non-profits set up to help out returning veterans readjust to civilian life. Hire Heroes is the brain child of UFC middleweight contender Brian Stann while Nick from Ranger Up sits on the board of Soldiers’ Angels.
