The UFC has yet to announce a date or location, but on Wednesday, they confirmed their first event on FX will be in January 2012 and have already booked two fights.

Fresh off a second-round TKO win over Keith Wisniewski in his October UFC return, Josh Neer will battle fellow veteran Duane Ludwig, who pounded out a unanimous decision win over Amir Sadollah in mid-August.

Neer (32-10-1) is on a five-fight winning streak, having spent the better part of the past two years in both Bellator and regional action after being cut by the UFC, while Ludwig (21-11) is riding a two-fight win streak after consecutive losses in his latest Zuffa stint.

In a must-win fight, Pat Barry has been booked against Christian Morecraft. Barry (6-4) has lost two in a row and four of his last six. Morecraft (7-2) is coming off a knockout loss to Barry friend/training partner Matt Mitrione in June. The 25-year-old is 1-2 in his UFC career.

UFC didn’t announce whether these are main card fights or the soon-to-be Fuel prelims.
