Two welterweights will battle it out in a bid for relevance at UFC 141, when TUF alum, Matt Riddle, faces former Shooto Brazil welterweight champ, Luis Ramos, as announced by the UFC via Twitter:
Luis Ramos vs Matt Riddle at UFC 141 in Vegas? Yep!
Although rarely in a boring fight, Matt Riddle is still struggling to find success in the UFC’s ever-stacked welterweight division. Although he fought his first six professional fights in the UFC, and went 5-1, he has since found himself on a two-fight losing streak against mostly unheralded opponents, and desperately needs a win to make a case for his continued employment. Ramos, a Nova Uniao product, was a standout on the Brazilian regional scene, but his level of opposition was questionable, and he suffered a quick stoppage loss against fellow Brazilian prospect, Erick Silva, in his debut at UFC 134.
