UFC president Dana White is back with his first video blog for this weekend’s UFC 137, and as usual the first episode is all about the event before this. It begins in a humorous way with White wearing a Buffalo Bills jersey because he lost a bet. It becomes apparently quickly that the theme of the blog is to see how the losers of the UFC 136 bouts deal with the aftermath of their fights. It starts with Steve Cantwell and then Joey Beltran getting checked over by a doctor while they discuss their respective fights. Then stuff gets real for Melvin Guillard, who throws a chair before kneeling and crying after his loss to Joe Lauzon.
Things change up a bit when Leonard Garcia is shown with the doc, as Nam Phan enters the picture and the two combatants exchange compliments and pleasantries before posing for a post-fight pic. Brian Stann is next, talking about Chael Sonnen’s wrestling was too good for him, while Sonnen is posing for pictures with a little kid. Kenny Florian is looking particularly beat up and depressed. Anderson Silva is then shown congratulating a returning Jose Aldo on his victory. Finally, Gray Maynard is filmed getting a quick exam and hugs from his teammates while Frankie Edgar poses for pictures.
The blog finishes up in a very cool way, with Dana handing out envelopes to the bonus winners while they wait to go into the press conference.
