Well it didn’t take long to find a replacement for Sam Stout, and the replacement was a guy that many people predicted — Donald Cerrone. Cerrone will now face Dennis Siver at UFC 137 on October 29th in Las Vegas. Brett Okamoto of ESPN.com brings the news:
Lightweight contender Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone has agreed to replace Sam Stout in a matchup against Dennis Siver at UFC 137 in October.
Stout is dealing with the unexpected passing of his longtime trainer and brother-in-law Shawn Tompkins earlier this month. UFC officials confirmed the switch to ESPN.com Monday.
Cerrone (16-3) has been very impressive since his move over to the UFC, going 3-0. His last bout was arguably the biggest win of his career, as he picked up his first TKO victory in MMA over Chales Oliveira. Siver has won four in a row and eight of his last nine overall. It is unclear if the bout will be on the main card of the pay-per-view or not.
