Rashad Evans on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon Live Discussion

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans will appear on tonight’s episode of Late Nate with Jimmy Fallon, which airs at 12:35 a.m. ET.

This is Rashad’s first appearance on a late-night talk show, though it’s not unfamiliar territory for MMA fighters. Tito Ortiz was the first fighter to appear on the format, doing a bit for the Tonight Show in 2003 to promote a fight with Randy Couture. Chuck Liddell has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s show a couple times. Quinton Jackson has appeared on that show and has made multiple appearances on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. As far as I can remember, this will be the first fighter to graces the Jimmy Fallon set. Brock Lesnar appeared on Fallon in March.

As for Fallon, I’ve never been a huge fan, going back to his days of camera-gazing and laugh-induced breaking of character in his SNL days. That said, I’ve seen more than a handful of good stuff from his late night show, including this Charlie Sheen impersonation and his History of Rap medleys with Justin Timberlake.

So go out, have a few drinks, and then head on back here to discuss Rashad’s debut on network television.
