UFC welterweight Diego “Nightmare” “The Dream” Sanchez sat down Sunday night and watched UFC on Versus 4 like the rest of us, and apparently he wasn’t too happy with what he saw. Specifically from the guys in his own division. Fighters tend to turn to social media to express their feelings, and Sanchez was no different in this regard: From his twitter:

Watched the fights tonight was not impressed with the welterweights at all!less than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone Favorite Retweet Reply

I’m just saying watch the fight neither of them looked sharp in any area blue belt ground game weak GNP wrestling was nit good eitherless than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone Favorite Retweet Reply

Even the conditioning and pace were weak I’m just saying from a technical point of view. Top welterweight’s??? I say notless than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone Favorite Retweet Reply

Apparently he liked the heavyweights (he tweeted “they were amazin” in response to a question about them), it’s obvious that Mr. Sanchez thinks that what he saw was less than impressive from the 170 pounders. Granted, he didn’t say whether he was talking about Rick Story vs. Charlie Brenneman or John Howard vs. Matt Brown specifically, but his reference to “top welterweights” would seem to point at the former. Diego’s next fight is at UFC 135 in September against Matt Hughes.
