[Update]
Dana White
-Winner of Nogueira/Schaub is “in the mix.”
-Anderson Silva is the great mixed martial artist ever. Period.
-We’re looking to bring fights not just to Rio, but all over Brazil. Not just PPVs, but Fight Nights too.
-The judges we bring down here are the guys we feel are the best.
-Anderson is flying to the U.S. tomorrow to do an Old Spice commercial. Talking to Burger King.
-Never once did we say Anderson vs. GSP would happen. Okami deserves this shot.
-Chael Sonnen is nuts.
-There’s not enough good women to create a division. It’s almost like our heavyweight division a few years ago.
-As the thing continues to grow, we’ll see how many more women come up. It’s not because I hate seeing women fighting.
-I think we’re the biggest sports franchise on earth.
Anderson Silva
-This is like the Brazilian soccer team against the world.
-Just to correct you, I did not lose (to Yushin Okami).
-I intend to stay at middleweight. On light heavyweight, we have Minotouro, Feijao. Our team takes that seriously.
-Just like in soccer, we have athletes going abroad to find better support.
“Minotauro” Nogueira
-We’ve always been motivated by the Brazilian public that roots for us. This is a dream for me to fight in Brazil.
-Because this is in Brazil, I can’t miss this show. I’ve never had the chance to fight in Brazil in my 40 fights.
-In our gym, it is impossible for us to fight one another. This is not a tennis match. The fight is something serious.
-With the UFC in Rio, the whole team is training in Brazil for this fight.
“Shogun” Rua
-I’ve found better qualified coaching abroad.
Yushin Okami
-I’m used to fighting outside my country.
Forrest Griffin
-(On fighting in Brazil) Once you get in a cage, there’s nothing going on.
-I’m honored to fight Shogun down here. I know he wasn’t 100% for our first fight, but it was still a great fight for fans.
-(On avenging his loss to Anderson) Pass.
Brendan Schaub
-I was booed in the U.S. when I fought Cro Cop. More pressure prepares you better for a title fight.
-I think I have an advantage on the feet. On the ground, I’m not afraid to go there with him. I like to beat guys at their own game.
