Pablo Garza appeared on The Ultimate Fighter: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck, and was eliminated in the opening round by Michael Johnson in a two-round decision. He signed with the WEC, where he lost to Chinese prospect Zhang Tie Quan by guillotine choke. He defeated Fredson Paixao at the Ultimate Fighter Finale, becoming the first fighter to win a featherweight bout in the UFC.

Yves Jabouin built his career in Quebec, starting his career 10-3 before losing to Jonathan Brookins by TKO in Jacksonville, Florida, in his first fight outside the province. Jabouin would go on to fight inside the WEC three times. He won his last fight over Brandon Visher at WEC 52.
