John Makdessi came up in regional Canadian promotions, winning his first seven fights before signing with the UFC. He made his UFC debut at UFC 124 in Montreal, defeating Pat Audinwood by unanimous decision. Bloody Elbow did a Judo Chop feature on Makdessi’s use of flashy Taekwondo kicks in that fight.
Kyle Watson has fought throughout the Midwest United States. He appeared on The Ultimate Fighter: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck, and defeated Sako Chivitchian by unanimous decision in the finale. Watson is the head jiu-jitsu instruction at the H.I.T. Squad in Granite City, Illinois.
