Jake Ellenberger has agreed to replace the injured Brian Foster and fight Sean Pierson on short notice at UFC 129 in Toronto a week from Saturday. The UFC announced the switch late yesterday. Ellenberger most recently took a razor-thin split decision over the unheralded Carlos Eduardo Rocha at UFC 126, and is likely looking to put himself in the good graces of the UFC brass by taking a short-notice fight. Pierson, meanwhile, who recently quit his job as a police offer in Toronto to become a full-time fighter, will look to establish himself in the UFC’s welterweight division against a tough veteran in Ellenberger.
