UFC 127 Results Recap: Kyle Noke Squashes Chris Camozzi

Kyle Noke made his first UFC fight in front of his countrymen a memorable one as he made short work of former TUF housemate Chris Camozzi. It was all Noke as he took Camozzi to the canvas and choked him out at 1:35 in the first round. The win brings Noke’s UFC record to 3-0 and 19-4 overall. The loss is Camozzi’s first under the UFC banner after winning his two previous bouts.

What was the high point of the fight?

There wasn’t much action to discuss as Noke made about as lean of a performance as possible. He took Camozzi into the cage and after using the momentum for the takedown, he worked for the full mount. After securing the mount Camozzi gave up his back and shortly after Noke secured the victory.

Where do these guys go from here?

With the win Noke should position himself to face some tougher competition. It is always a slower process coming out of the TUF house for the show’s non-winners, but the Aussie has not only won all three of his post-TUF fights but has finished his opponents impressively. As for Camozzi, the loss will be a learning experience as he is relatively early in his career. The UFC tends to get cut happy after big shows but with Camozzi showing grit on TUF and winning his two previous bouts he should at least get another showing in the octagon.

Watch it now, later, or never?

This is a watch it now if you want to see a fighter on the rise in Kyle Noke…otherwise it is a never. As stated above there wasn’t much to this fight being only a 1:35 long but Noke attacked with confidence and finished the fight like a bulldozer.
