Vitor Belfort: Wanderlei Silva Has ‘Nowhere to Run’

Vitor Belfort talks Anderson Silva and Wanderlei Silva in an interview with CNN.com and IG.com.br (translated by graciemag.com):

“The kick landed pretty hard, but this type of kick, it’s more like a pushing kick right under my chin, it took me right out of my balance,” (Vitor) Belfort said.

Belfort says he never lost consciousness, but “for a split second, I was a little bit out,” and the fight was stopped because he couldn’t defend himself once on the ground.

“It was as though Anderson (Silva) had thrown a dollar on the roulette wheel and won a million.”

Speaking of upcoming challenges, Vitor was even more scathing, responding to a question regarding Wanderlei Silva. “When the time comes, there will be nowhere to run. Nobody’s running from anyone. I just don’t want to wait till UFC Rio (in August) to fight again.”
