Earlier this month, a facial laceration forced Herschel Walker to pull out of his second pro MMA fight against Scott Carson at “Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu.” Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker announced today that Walker’s return to MMA has been rescheduled for Strikeforce’s January 29th event in San Jose.
Coker refrained from naming an opponent for Walker. Carson remains a viable option after Strikeforce dropped him from the “Henderson vs. Babalu” card following Walker’s announcement.
Walker hasn’t fought since his MMA debut at “Strikeforce: Miami” last January 30th where he defeated Greg Nagy by third-round TKO.
