Strikeforce: Houston Preview – Chad Griggs Plans on Testing Bobby Lashley

“I don’t think I’m the underdog at all. I’ve got more experience. I don’t know when (Bobby Lashley’s) ever been hit in a fight, really.”

“Sure, [ring rust] it’ll be a factor. It has been awhile. But it’s not like I’ve been in a hole somewhere. I’ve been training, I’ve been cornering fighters. Fights have been offered that have fallen through.”

“I didn’t wrestle in high school, so I think my quickness and being able to move came from soccer. Don Frye was preparing for a fight with Mark Coleman and I got picked to spar with him because I was a big guy. So Don Frye was my first training partner.”

“Everybody wants to see Bobby fight and wants to see him tested. So the message is that I’m planning on testing him. The goal is to get there and hit him with a few things he hasn’t been hit with yet. We’ll see if he really does want to fight or not.”

“I think the fans will jump over to my side once the tide turns. Once they see he’s not invincible, I think they’ll come over to the underdog’s side. I don’t want a decision win …I want the finish.”
