After the tremendous feedback from our first attempt, I’ve decided to give this another go. Joe Lauzon is one of MMA’s most approachable and down to earth fighters. After bursting onto the scene with a dynamic win over the lovable Jens Pulver, Lauzon went immediately into The Ultimate Fighter house. One of the coaches that season? Jens Pulver.
Lauzon has compiled a 5-2 record in the Octagon and will be featured by SPIKE TV in their broadcast of the UFC 118 preliminaries, part of the UFC’s initial assault on Lauzon’s native Massachusetts. His opponent is tough British prospect Terry Etim, a fight that will no doubt be one of the darkhorse candidates for fight of the night (Lauzon has won five bonuses for either fight, knockout, or submission of the night in just seven career UFC appearances).
