Former WEC welterweight champion, Carlos Condit (24-5), is in talks to take on King of the Cage star Rory MacDonald (10-0), at UFC 115 from the General Motors Place in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, on June 15.
MMAmania.com learned of the pending match up earlier today.
That is a huge leap for MacDonald who is one of the bright future stars in the promotion.
Condit had his hands full in the win over Jake Ellenberger, but he was also able to give Martin Kampmann all he could handle when they met at Fight Night 18. It also feels like a step back for Carlos as he was scheduled to fight Paul Daley but had to withdraw due to staph infection from a cut on his hand.
Rory MacDonald has a perfect 10-0 record with all ten wins coming by way of stoppage. His most recent win was a first round submission over Michael Guymon at Fight Night 20. This win would be by far the biggest of his young career and would announce Rory as a true force at 170 pounds.
