For the second straight year, Joe Rogan takes home the Bloody Elbow Reader Award for Commentator of the Year.
What Rogan might lack in broadcasting polish, he makes up for in knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport. Unlike his partner Mike Goldberg, Rogan keeps up with the sport outside of the UFC and isn’t afraid to namedrop non-Zuffa fighters during a telecast.
Rogan dominated the rest of the field this year in similar fashion to last, but Michael Schiavello will provide a tough challenge in 2010. Fans solidified Schiavello in the number two slot after taking over for MMA’s resident zombie, Kenny Rice. It will be interesting if fan allegiance changes when Schiavello’s given a full year of work.
Full results after the break.
