Tatame: Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort Will Take Place at UFC 112

It looks like the long-awaited fight between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort will finally go down in April.  According to Tatame, both men have made arrangements to train in Abu Dhabi in the days before the fight.

The fight between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort is in works to take place at UFC 112, on April 10, at Abu Dhabi. Carlos Santos, leader of Emirates Team, revealed to TATAME.com that both fighters called him to train at his training center in Abu Dhabi in the days before the fight. This will be the first UFC event in Abu Dhabi, and will also have the UFC debut of the legend Renzo Gracie, against the five times welterweight champion Matt Hughes.

There’s no word yet on whether or not this will be a Spike TV or PPV card.  The lineup suggests it will be on PPV, but if so it will have to be tape-delayed.  This fight was originally scheduled for UFC 108 and then UFC 109, but Silva had to back out both times as a result of his nagging elbow injury.  It will be Anderson Silva’s first fight in 8 months, and his first title defense in about a year.
