Right as Joe Rogan gave Dustin Hazelett props for “doing well” in the standup, Paul “Semtex” Daley landed a bomb of a counter left hand that absolutely floored Hazelett. A short bit of ground ‘n’ pound later led to Herb Dean stepping in to end the fight.
While Hazelett impressed Rogan and Goldberg in the standup, the only highlight I saw was a Jushin Liger rolling koppo kick to start the fight. Hazelett inexplicably decided not to attempt to clinch or drag the fight to the floor, standing with the very dangerous Daley for the entirety of the two and a half minute bout.
Daley’s lived up to his nickname since entering the UFC taking out two very solid welterweights in Martin Kampmann and Dustin Hazelett.
