Dan Lauzon vs. Cole Miller – Round 1 -Lauzon throws a left hand early and now Miller connects with a flurry of punches and misses a head kick. Cole tries to pull guard but goes back to his feet. Lauzon drops Miller with a punch! Miller is able to survive and they’re on the feet exchanging punches. Nice right lands for Miller. Lauzon ducks under and gets a takedown into back control. One hook in and Miller esapes, Lauzon looks for the triangle but Miller rolls through into an inverted triangle and Lauzon has to tap. Amazing inverted triangle submission victory for Miller and it is almost a guaranteed submission of the night bonus. Cole Miller wins by submission (inverted triangle choke), round 1. The replay shows that there was a kimura added in to the choke. Great stuff.
Jake Ellenberger vs. Mike Pyle – Round 1 – Quick takedown by Ellenberger and Pyle is working to secure an arm. Pyle is preventing Ellenberger from getting any offense going while he works for submission after submission. Jake is finally able to land a few elbows but stands up at his first chance and they’re back to throwing strikes. Another quick takedown by Ellenberger. Pyle grabs a kimura and comes close to finishing it but Jake is able to use strength to power out of it. Ellenberger throws a series of big strikes in the last 10 seconds and as the round ends Pyle takes a while getting back to his feet. Round 2 – Pyle was shown at the end of the round saying his rib broke. As the round begins Ellenberger drops Pyle with a big right hand and pours it on forcing the stoppage. Jake Ellenberger wins by TKO (punches), round 2.
Jacob Volkmann vs. Martin Kampmann – Round 1 – Right hand by Kampmann early. Volkmann lands and hurts Martin and Kampmann lands a hard shot in return that drops Jacob for a second. They’re back to standing now and Kampmann is landing a few punches but he is cut over the left eye. Volkmann lands a series of shots and hurts Kampmann but Martin drops him with a shot in return again. Now they’re on the ground and Kampmann lands a nice right. Big shots landing for Kampmann now and he quickly locks up a guillotine. Volkmann has no choice but to tap out. Martin Kampmann wins by submission (guillotine choke), round 1.
Mark Munoz vs. Ryan Jensen – Round 1 – Munoz with a series of punches that don’t land and Jensen misses a high kick of his own. A nice pair of leg kicks land for Jensen. Jensen with a knee and Munoz takes him down. Jensen is able to scramble back to his feet. Series of big shots land for Ryan and he tries to take Munoz down. Munoz drives forward though and gets this own takedown. Flurry of hammerfists by Munoz. Jensen turns his back and Munoz lands a flurry of powerful strikes, many of which were to the back of the head and Jensen is forced to tap out. Mark Munoz wins by submission (strikes), round 1.

Junior dos Santos v. Gilbert Yvel – Round 1 – Yvel throws a left hook early. Left hand lands for dos Santos. Yvel tries for a spinning back kick and misses. Right hand by dos Santos. Both men landing shots now with Yvel countering. Left hand by Yvel and a right by Junior. Head kick by Yvel is blocked. dos Santos with a huge punch that puts Yvel down. A few more shots and the fight is stopped. Junior dos Santos wins by TKO (strikes), round 1.
Jim Miller vs. Duane Ludwig – Round 1 – Right hand lands for Ludwig and now a kick by Miller. Duane looking to land a combo but Miller is the one that lands two shots. Right hand catches Ludwig off balance and he goes down. Miller jumps on him and gets mount. Ludwig tries to scramble and Miller grabs the armbar forcing the submission. Jim Miller wins by submission (armbar), round 1.
Sam Stout vs. Joe Lauzon – Round 1 – They end up on the ground quickly with Lauzon on top in half guard. Stout is cut over the left eye. Lauzon dives into an armlock but Stout survives and gets back to his feet. Lauzon with a right hand. Stout lands a punch and Lauzon dives for a takedown which he is able to get after Stout initially defended. Now they’re on the ground with Stout on top landing an elbow. Stout stands back up and they’re throwing hands again. Stout hurts him with a left hook and avoids a takedown. A pair of great body shots by Stout and now a head kick. Uppercut by Stout lands hard. Right hand lands for Stout now. Right hand by Lauzon now. Inside leg kick for Stout lands hard. Stout is mixing up his shots so well going to leg kicks, body punches and shots to the head. Spinning backfist by Stout and the round ends. Stout wins the round on my card by controlling the stand-up and doing a beautiful job of being unpredictable. 10-9 Stout. Round 2 -Lauzon shoots and can’t get the fight back to the ground. Body shot again by Stout and it’s great to see a fighter using the body shot as a weapon. Leg kick by Stout. Head kick lands for Stout and Lauzon is hurt but he manages to get a takedown and avoid any more punishment. Stout is able to use the fence to get back to standing and land a body shot, leg kick combo. Right hand by Lauzon lands. Four punch combo lands for Stout. Leg kick, right hand by Stout now. Stout sprawls to avoid a takedown attempt by Lauzon and then stands back up. Body kick lands for Stout. The round ends with Stout landing an elbow from on top. 10-9 Stout to put him up 20-18 on the BE scorecard. Round 3 -Lauzon is attacking now and Stout avoids so far. Lauzon’s takedown attempts have lost steam. Stout is continuing to just wear Lauzon out with combinations and Joe looks discouraged and tired now. Stout shrugs off another takedown attempt from Lauzon and lands two punches to the head a leg kick and a body punch in one flurry. This is an amazing display of technical striking by Stout. Lauzon finally manages a takedown with two minutes left. Lauzon passes to mount and grabs a guillotine with 1:20 left and Stout escapes! Lauzon dives for a leg lock and gets nothing. Stout back to picking Stout apart with these strikes. 10-9 round again for Stout makes it a 30-27 win on my card. Official scorecards: 30-26, 30-27, 30-27 all for Sam Stout
Dustin Hazelett vs. Paul Daley – Round 1 – Hazelett with a rolling kick attempt that misses which is quite unexpected. High kick by Hazelett is blocked. High kick by Daley now is blocked. A few leg kicks land for Paul now. Left hook misses by Paul and then a leg kick lands. Hazelett with another head kick attempt. Front kick by Hazelett now. Daley with a huge left hook and then a flurry of strikes to Hazelett who is down and out cold. Paul Daley wins by knockout, round 1.
Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva – Round 1 – Rashad comes in with punches and gets the clinch. Now Rashad drops down for a double and gets it. Silva is able to stand right back up but Rashad with a nice high double leg to get back to the ground. Rashad with a quick mount. Very good escape to standing by Thiago. Rashad throwing right hands and bobbing and weaving to close distance. Thiago throws a knee and Rashad with a very quick takedown. Back to standing again and a leg kick lands for Silva. Rashad landing an overhand right and avoiding a return shot from Silva and then he charges in to a clinch. Good body shot by Rashad and he gets another takedown. The round ends with Silva getting back to his feet and it was a clear 10-9 for Rashad. Round 2 – Rashad again throws his hands as a way to push Silva back and get the clinch. Quick shot by Rashad and he gets the takedown again. Back to standing, and then another takedown by Rashad. Silva escapes to standing again. Right hand by Thiago as Evans tries for a takedown lands solid. Another right lands. Now Rashad charges in with a takedown again. Silva stands up again and the round ends. 10-9 Evans again. Round 3 – Silva stuffs the first takedown attempt but Rashad manages to get the clinch anyway. Jab by Silva. Takedown and Silva stands up immediately. Rashad circling outside and Silva is trying to get him to engage. Right hand lands for Evans. Silva drops his hands and is trying to get Rashad to throw. Right hand by Silva hurts Rashad! Uppercut lands now. Silva loading up. Knee! Uppercut. Thiago can’t finish and he is tired. Jab lands for Silva. Rashad survives to the final bell and that was a 10-9 round for Silva, possibly even 10-8. Official scorecards: 29-28 across the board. Rashad Evans wins by unanimous decision.
