Ticket sales for UFC 91 are off to a fast start, but the show did not sell out today. Sources indicate to Bloody Elbow that total sales up through this point are the highest ever in terms of dollars spent, but a lot of tickets remain due to extremely high prices. They also reformatted the seating chart a bit to fit the maximum number of people in, because they are aiming for their highest gate ever.
It’s an interesting gambit charging the highest prices ever during such tumultuous economic times. Even if they do sell this one out, and I do think they will, they are going to bleed Las Vegas dry with three straight major PPV shows in November, December, and January.
I’ve included the chart with prices below the fold to give people an idea of the prices for this one. I think they need a good fight second from the top to sell it out early.
