They are no longer together:

Shamus, a co-founder of the IFL with current commissioner Kurt Otto, had been with the league since its inception in 2005.

Former Showtime executive Jay Larkin, who joined the IFL full-time as its President and Chief Operating Officer on Sept. 21, will now serve as the company’s President and CEO.

Apparently Shamus will stay on as a “consultant” for the company.

I don’t have any inside info as to why this departure does or does not make sense, but what I can say is the IFL – either consciously through upper management decisions or by the designs of individual members to change directions – is cleaning house. For their sake let’s hope it’s not too little, too late.
